The metering unit is the centerpiece of all Monosem planters. With this metering unit, Monosem has kept all the best features of NG Plus units and further enhanced their ease of use. Adjustment mechanisms have been simplified to ensure that your planter always has the right settings to ensure optimal planting conditions.
Parallel linkage
The heavy-duty parallel linkage with high clearance is mounted on replaceable bushings. Two springs stabilize the unit.
Safety clutch
An audible safety clutch system with automatic clutching for optimal protection of the metering system.
Clod remover bracket
The clod remover can be adjusted quickly and precisely with a choice of 12 positions. To adjust to different planting conditions, the clod remover can be quickly swapped for trash wheels with no tools required.
Double opener discs
The planting system consists of two large-diameter discs (380mm) mounted on sealed ball bearings.
Gauge wheel
These large wheels (110mm) with very high load-bearing capacity allow optimal control of working depth. The positioning of the wheels in line with the seed drop ensures exceptional depth consistency.
Gauge wheel arms
The gauge wheel bracket arms are mounted on replaceable bushes and have spiral grooves for even grease distribution. Scrapers are fitted as standard on the gauge wheels.
Rear closing wheel unit
The furrow is closed by two tilted wheels. An optional adjustment mechanism is available enabling rapid adjustment of closing wheel unit pressure and angle.
Depth adjustment
Depth is easy to adjust using a hand wheel. This type of adjustment mechanism provides high-precision control of planting depth. It is easy to spot at the rear of the unit and is both wash and weather-proof
Hopper
The durable translucent plastic hopper has a 52L capacity. The cover locks to secure the contents.
Pro wheel (optional)
The aluminium Pro wheel is fitted with a stainless-steel tire and a plastic scraper. With its large diameter (380mm), the Pro wheel offers high-quality pressing and excellent seed placement.

Disc PLANTING
Since 1989, Monosem has applied the concept of planting with the planter resting on the ground directly in line with the seed drop.
This tried-and-tested planting method is versatile and accurate, and moreover cuts down on maintenance.
This unit combines quality metering with disc planting, resulting in optimal use of the planter over very large areas reducing its operating costs.
Clod removers and trash wheels clear the way for the seed line, removing any clods, stones or plant debris.
These discs open the furrow to a depth defined by the gauge wheels.
This finishes the furrow bottom for optimal seed placement.
The shape of the tube is specially designed to guide the seeds gently to the ground at perfectly consistent intervals.
This wheel unit composed of 2 tilted wheels closes the furrow around the seed to ensure optimal seed germination.

The Monosem metering system exhibits manufacturing quality that has earned it a global reputation.
Its vacuum system allows an unrivalled range of seeds to be metered.
Accept nothing less than this flagship Monosem product for your crops.
The metering box is made of cast aluminium. This means it will lose none of its accuracy over the years regardless of temperature variations.
The wear gasket is in permanent contact with the disc. It makes the metering box leak-proof and can be replaced.
These 1.5mm thick discs are made of stainless steel. The agitator fixed to the disc strengthens the unit. Discs are easy to change tool-free. A full range of discs is available meeting all single-seed planting requirements.
The bronze singulator prevents any duplicates. A spring on the metering box cover holds the singulator perfectly in place against the disc for optimal metering, even with small seeds.
The cast-iron cover is specially designed for planting with minimal seed reserves.
The metering system is highly accessible, both for adjustments and monitoring. A large transparent window can be used for monitoring metering after the singulator.
The emptying hatch is extremely convenient to operate. When you open the hatch, it stays open making it even easier to fully empty the unit using the emptying chute supplied as standard.

Additional pressure spring
An additional adjustable pressure spring can be added for planting in hard or trashy soils (assembly varies depending on the frame).
Narrow hopper
Specially designed for crops requiring smaller inter-row spacing (sugarbeet, rapeseed, beans, etc.).
Narrow trash wheels
Narrow retractable trash wheels are available for planting with lower inter-row spacing.
Circular coulter
Smooth or rippled, the circular coulter improves furrow opening and produces fine soil for low-till planting and/or in trashy soils.
Shoe with long tip and short wings
The special shoe with a long tip and short wings is specially designed for planting in dry soils and for small seeds.
Metal closing wheels
Our metal closing wheels with notched discs are recommended for highly caked soils or to improve furrow closure in no or low-till conditions.
Narrow trash wheels
Trash wheels can be fitted instead of a clod remover when planting in trashy soils.
Clod remover with flexible bracket
A clod remover on a flexible bracket is recommended for planting in stony soils.
Narrow-gauge wheels
5cm narrow-gauge wheels are available for planting with low inter-row spacing.
Narrow press wheels
Optional 1-inch (instead of 2-inch) wheels are available for improved pressing on hard ground and/or in low-till conditions.

Microsem's primary objectives are to nurture and protect seeds.
Distributing microgranules requires just as much care and precision as planting.
Our auger-based Microsem system ensures consistent distribution of insecticides, molluscicides and even fertilizers.
Microgranules are positioned very close to seeds, protecting them from pests and providing them with all the nutrients they require for uniform shoot emergence.
An 18-ratio gearbox is used to adjust the microgranulators:

Insecticide and molluscicide Microsem units can be combined for simultaneous supply of both products.
Our microgranulator is equipped with two drop lines metering different products. One distributes products in the seed line and the other either in front of or behind the closing wheels.
Using the hatches and chute, it's quick and easy to empty any remaining products.
The microgranules contained in the hopper are taken up by 2 augers. Agitators ensure an even supply to these augers. A finger wheel then distributes the product consistently in the drop lines.
Insecticide: 3 to 25kg/ha for inter-row spacing of 75cm
Molluscicide: 3 to 10kg/ha for inter-row spacing of 75cm
Electrically driven Microsem units are available for the NG Plus 4E. A mechanical version of the Microsem units is also available for the NG Plus 4, with a variable speed drive enabling quick and easy adjustment of the microgranule rate.
FERTILIZING SYSTEMS
With our full range of standard and high-capacity fertilizers, we can offer a sturdy fertilizer system that suits your planting conditions perfectly.
Fertilizer is evenly distributed using a system combining auger-based metering and agitators.
Stainless-steel augers with different pitches are available, ensuring that exactly the required quantity is metered.
Hoppers are available in various capacities and can be mounted on rigid and telescopic frames.
Electrically or mechanically driven versions are available, supporting you throughout planting and ensuring unrivalled precision.
Just choose the capacity you need! Our high-capacity hoppers have a wide opening and offer reliable metering in all conditions.

Fertilizer is evenly distributed using a system combining auger-based metering and agitators. Stainless-steel augers with different pitches are available, ensuring that exactly the required quantity is metered.
The "standard" augers (A) are blue and meter 80 to 350kg/ha of fertilizer at inter-row spacing of 75cm.
The "high-output" augers (B) are red and meter 160 to 700kg/ha of fertilizer at inter-row spacing of 75cm.

TFC2 Frames
You can choose between the Confort and Confort Mixte models. The former is equipped with floating wings and a mobile front 4-wheel unit that follows the contours of the land perfectly and folds to 3m for road transport. The latter can be converted quickly from 12 rows to 8 rows in no time at all by simply sliding some of the metering units.

CRT Frames
The CRT is a folding telescopic frame. It is able to follow the contours of the land perfectly in all conditions due to its floating, independent wings with wheel units.
